Nacido el 4 de agosto
De la gente que conozco (o «conozco») de mi vida reciente, Luis Cermeño es la única persona que sé que nació el mismo día que yo. No en la misma fecha, sino el mismo día. Hasta ahí el dato curioso: comparto con mi «enemigo» o «detractor» la misma —¿o similar?— carta astral. Porque vamos a suponer que esas cosas suceden, que esas explicaciones son válidas, que estábamos unidos de alguna manera o por algo.
Desde hace un rato nos venimos hablando por MSN, situación que ha sido calificada de enfermiza por otras partes interesadas. En esas charlas reina la cordialidad, es decir, el odio cordial. En una de esas charlas le conté, cuando le dije que regresaba a Colombia para que celebráramos juntos nuestro cumpleaños, que era la única persona que conocía que… Entonces él dijo que ya conocía a alguien, un man del colegio que se llamaba Saúl. «Un cabezón».
Bien, el mismo Saúl cabezón que también nació el 4 de agosto había estado conmigo antes en el jardín infantil, en 1985. ¿Cuáles son las probabilidades de que haya sido otra persona? No por la fecha sino por el nombre. ¿Quién se llama Saúl estos días? ¿Cuál es la probabilidad de que alguien con ese nombre haya nacido el 4 de agosto de 1981? ¿Y que sea cabezón?
Luis se enteró de que iba a publicar un post al respecto y, como es más acomplejado que yo o es más purista con su blog, le pareció muy paila hacerlo. Así que yo le rindo homenaje, como siempre, publicando la canción que no sé bien si él quería dedicarme a mí, el estreñido. O por ahí a Saúl.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
